What a lovely day I had, went to Spitalfields in the wee hours of the morning to wander around the antiques and found this beautiful wedding dome, from the 19century in france. I had seen some on golborne rd for like £375 and considered getting one I loved them so much, and found one for just £180, got it down to £155, BARGAIN!
Delighted with my antique, all ready for my flat which I long to purchase one day!

This place is so cool, the worlds first nitrogen ice cream parlour. I went this summer but it was a monday and so it was shut, don't make this mistake. Aim to go there very soon, just don't really feel like icecream when it's this cold and miserable outside. Oh well, will eat it inside and have a go on their swings, yes they have swings. Reminds me of a frozen yoghurt place me and my friend Natalia went to in Tel Aviv...very cool, can't wait. Don't ask why there are cake POPs in the picture, heartbroken as they aren't our ones, who knows where they got them!

Very exciting time at POP HQ. I had always wanted to do cakes like these, big kitsch, american style birthday cakes with cheeky phrases written on them, but POPs hit me like a bullet so the idea was tucked away for a rainy day. Yesterday when me and Suzy [a fellow popper] were making endless nosferatu POPs for a cool night at the Box we started thinking how cool they would be. Perfect for that sarcastic friend who hates pretty pretty birthday cakes, or your boyfriend who you like to wind up. Or a little deeper a naughty husband who needs to be told you are filing for divorce! Ha! Well it's all tongue and cheek and I hope you POP fans will become fans of the latest idea. A new blog will be set up in due course. Need a nice portfolio of these beauties!

Very cool other stuff too, particular favourite was Katies beautiful tiered cakes- Pomp de Franc is very cool, having studied fashion she takes fashion designers new work as inspiration for these very original and exciting cakes. How amazing is this, a customer rang me last night saying she was walking past a gallery and saw this oil painting of POPs in the window, she asked if they were POP Bakery cake POPs and the artist replied 'how did you know?' and pulled out our book from underneath the counter.
